ELWYN (BART) RAYSIN SANDUSKY

 Elwyn (Bart) Raysin, age 77, of Sandusky, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2009 at home. He was born May 27, 1932 in Snover, Michigan, son of the late Bartlett and Edna (Rich) Raysin. Elwyn married Evelyn E. Kotzke in 1955 in Sandusky, Michigan. She passed away on August 16, 1983. He then married Beverly A. Barker on March 13, 1988 in Sandusky, Michigan. Elwyn worked for Yale Rubber for 46 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran in the Korean Conflict. He was also part of the Thumb Amateur Radio Club (W8IDT) and he was a member of the Sanilac County Park Board. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Raysin; three children, Robert (Judy) Raysin of Clio, Brian (Karen) Raysin of Alaska, Carol (Micky) Van Etten of Marlette; one stepson, Tom (Debbie) Earls of Sandusky; six grandchildren, three great grandchildren; one sister, Beverly Peplinski of Ft. Gratiot; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. The Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 24th, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hacker Funeral Parlors, Sandusky with Pastor David Pratt of Snover officiating. Burial will be in the Washington Township Cemetery, Carsonville. Memorials may be made to: United Hospice Service, Marlette or the Sandusky Public Library.
